Weekend with Jessica

Jason and Emily asked us to take care of Jessica while they ran the Wasatch run. She was adorable especially when she was smiling. It was an eye opener to me and it brought us together as a couple. She went to bed around 9:30 and woke up around 1am. We put her back to sleep and then she woke up around 6am. We wanted some extra sleep so we let her sleep in our bed with us. That lasted an hour and then it was time to wake up. In the morning, she was a little irritable and I think she was really hungry so we fed her two bottles. Overall, it was a really good experience. If you are thinking about having a baby, I suggest you take care of a baby so you will get an idea on how hard it really is. I am looking forward to having children with Adrian. He will make an adorable daddy.

Our roses are blossoming

Here is an update of our beautiful rose bush outside our home. It seems that our roses have blossomed over night. We also have a tiny flower garden. I love the spring. Someday I'll have moy own flower garden and I'll get to learn how to take care of it.

2008 NBA Finals

The 2008 NBA finals have come to a close as the Boston Celtics take over the LA Lakers. I was a little disappointed that my team didn't pull through. However, after watching last nights game, I knew the Celtics deserved it. Wow! What a game! They were a little "outofcontrol" with all of their three pointer shots. I'm glad they won! They worked so hard. Don't get me wrong, I like the LA Lakers and really wanted them to win overall. However, I think the Boston Celtics played really well together as a team. They were so happy that it brought tears to my eyes. I love people who accomplish their goals. Way to go Boston Celtics!

Salt Lake Bee's Game

I went to the Salt Lake Bee's game on June 14th to celebrate Flag day. I went with Laura and Rusty and another couple. I had a blast except my better half wasn't there to enjoy it with me. He was actually in New York City. His flight was six hours delayed so he was not a happy camper. After the Salt Lake Bee's beat the Las Vegas 51's 6-4, we watched an incredible firework show. It had to be one of the top firework shows I've ever seen. Oh by the way, I didn't take this photo since Adrian had my digital camera. I used my old school camera but the employees from Wallgreens said that the film was empty. I probably lost all of my pictures. I'll post more pictures if they turn out. Anyway, thanks for inviting me Laura and Rusty! I had a fun time.

A fun day in the sun

Teresa and I went rollerblading and kayaking in Liberty Park last Saturday. Our husbands were out of town so we had a girls day out. There was a free kayak demo that we took advantage of. We had a blast! Afterwards, we went to Hard Rock Cafe and I think we both drank way too much strawberry lemonade. It sure was good! Then we took TRAC's to the gateway to see the chalk art festival. There were some incredible artists. Overall, we had a wonderful day out in the sun. Thanks for going with me Teresa!

New York City

Adrian went to New York City without me. Well, he did need to work the whole time but he did get to walk around and take some cool photos for me. He said that it was a very dirty and smelly place especially China Town. He said that the streets were narrow and there were a ton of people. He also mentioned that there were a ton of cops. He said that London is a much better place. I still wouldn't mind going to New York to shop, see a musical and see the Statue of Liberty. In addition, his flight was delayed for six hours and I only got to see him for a few hours before he flew to San Jose. Well, I am looking forward to his return. Hope you enjoy the photos Adrian took. He is a great photographer!

Park City Date with Adrian

Last weekend Adrian and I drove to the Park City outlets for our date. Adrian wanted me to get a Coach purse for some time so we stopped there first. I wanted a white purse and actually found one that I really liked. I'm really picky when it comes to purses. It has to be easy to open and there can't be tons of extra pockets. Also, the zipper must go all the way across. It can't be too bulky to make it difficult to find my keys or cell phone. The purse was perfect and on sale. We also went to Banana Rebuplic, Addidas, Ralph Lauren, etc. Adrian bought a polo shirt so that was a big step for him. Overall, we had a great time except it was a little chilly. Afterwards, we ate at Pei Wei Asian Diner and it was delicious after a long day of shopping. Thanks for a wonderful day, Adrian. I love you!

Catching the reading bug

Have you caught the reading bug? I invited my mom, and Tiffany's children-Jessie, Zach, and Rebecca to go to the library activity. The theme this year is Catching the reading bug. It was located at Wheeler Farm. It was also Rebecca's birthday so she was excited to go. Jessie and Zach both thought it was "boring." I also invited my co-worker Mindy and her family. We ended up sitting with them as we watched Presto the magician. What a fantastic show! I mean that in a very sarcastic tone. However, the children loved it. In the middle of the show, Zach sat in the front so he wasn't "bored" anymore. Well, thanks for going with me everyone! I surely enjoyed it.

Just for you-Anne

My mother n' law, Anne Reynolds wanted us to post a picture of our beautiful home and Honda Civic. Also, I noticed that we have a rose bush outside our garage so I thought I would show you our tiny flower garden. Of course, we don't have to water it because the HOA people do that for us. We are so spoiled! Hope you enjoy the pictures Anne.

Primary Excitement

I'm starting to think that my calling as a CTR 5 teacher is a joke on me. It is very challenging especially when the children don't listen to me. I wish Adrian could teach with me. It sure would be a lot easier with a helping hand. Last Sunday my children were wild and crazy. First, Savannah forgot her underwear so I had to make sure she kept her dress down. Also, Shane couldn't sit still. I wanted to just hold him on my lap but he kept moving around. Then he bonked my nose with his head and that hurt. I'm glad my nose didn't start bleeding. I kept putting him on his chair like Nanny 911 had mentioned (consistency is the key) but he wanted to be held. Then he kept kicking my legs (not on purpose but just because he was restless). I did have a lot of help from the Primary board so that was nice. I had four children in the beginning but by the time class started, I had two. I guess it wasn't that bad but I was so tired afterwards. I hope our children arn't crazy. I do love children but not when they are acting up.

Things to know about Emilee

Ashley tagged me and asked me to share 5-10 things about myself with everyone. So here we go...

1-I love to knit christmas stockings. It is my absolute favorite thing to do. I can't watch television without having two knitting needles and some yarn. It's impossible! Well, sometimes when Adrian and I are watching a movie together, I won't knit so we can turn off the lights and cuddle. So romantic!

I learned how to knit from my grandma and once I got it down, I couldn't stop. I love it! I also have my own knitting blog and will soon sell some stockings on etsy.com. It will be called Sweetly Made (Just for you).

2-I belong to a Book Club. It is called the Reading Gals. We read one book a month and then talk about it via internet. I also read other books in my spare time. It is my second favorite hobby as of now. Once we have children, it will be a little harder to have the time but I do want to continue.

3-I love to exercise! Adrian bought me a workout step so I can exercise at home since I quit 24 hour fitness. Sorry Ashley! I wasn't going and thought it would be beneficial to save some money. So now I get other exercise dvds at the library so I have a variety. It is way fun!

4-I love watching any romantic film. I do like the "happily ever after" films unlike my sister n law, Ashley. Adrian watches a few with me but doesn't like any film that has to do with Amanda Bynes or Lyndsey Lohan. I can't get enough!

5-I hate being the youngest. Sometimes it is nice to see the mistakes of others and learn from them but it seems that I am in the slow lane when it comes to any life changing experience. I guess it pays to be patient.

6-I love eating at new and exciting restaurants. For example, Ruby's (Austin, TX), Mayan (Sandy, UT), Maceli's (CA), Rain Forest Cafe, and the Brown Derby (FL). I love fun atmospheres and delicious food. I also like to be entertained while I eat.

Enough said...these are things about me! I tag Mindy, Laura, Mandy, Amy, Amber, Stephanie, Kathryn, Cerra, Becky, and Kristyn. Good luck!
