Jessica Elizabeth Roberts

Adrian and I were able to visit Emily and Jason Roberts in the hospital. They had their fifth child and named her Jessica Elizabeth Roberts. She is adorable. We are so lucky to live so close to the Roberts so we can visit our nieces and nephews.

Spring Makeover

I invited Mary to the Spring Makeover at Nordstrom on March 8th. We had our hair curled and our makeup done. I registered ahead of time so that we would have two spots reserved. I even bought some makeup from the Clinique counter for a whole year. We ate lunch in the food court and enjoyed spending time together. We had a blast and enjoyed being pampered. We plan to go to the Spring Makeover next year so we better save some money so we can get more makeup. Thank you Mary for coming with me. I had so much fun!

Dentist Appointment

I went to the dentist yesterday because I have twelve cavities. I only had six taken care of but that is unheard of to have twelve. I have only had two my whole life. However, I haven't been to the dentist for almost four years. I recommend going to avoid the pain that you go through. They gave me three shots and they were very painful. It seemed like it was never going to end. I'm just telling you how it was. I was pretty much tense the whole time but I guess I'm a wimp when it comes to needles. I was there for about an hour. I was able to watch a little bit of the Ellen show, Who wants to be a Millionaire, and Oprah so I guess it wasn't that bad. Well, it finally ended and I was able to go home. My husband immediately made fun of me since I wasn't able to speak well. In addition, the numbness took four hours to wear off. I tried to drink a slimfast drink but it sure was hard. I'll have to go back in May and then it will be over. I am half way there. My advice is to go to the dentist every six months, brush your teeth at least twice a day, and be careful on the amount of candy you eat. Any other advice, let me know.

A sandwich tale

About a month ago, I went to Spaghetti Mama's with my sisters Cassie and Tiffany, sister n' law Emily and a few of their children. It was for a birthday celebration. Anyway, I ordered an Italian chicken sandwich and wanted to save half for later. I asked for a box and handed my plate to the waiter. I thought he would be kind enough to put my sandwich in the box. Well, he didn't bring my food back. Instead he threw it away and I was left with nothing. He didn't even offer me a free sandwich. I was disturbed the whole day and couldn't believe I lost my sandwich.

Recently I went back to Spaghetti Mama's with some co-workers and I believe I had the same waiter. I don't think he remembered me but he was extra nice to me. So maybe he did remember me. Anyway, I remembered to ask for a box and guard my plate so he couldn't take it away. I learned a lot that day and will always know how to save half of my meal. I also asked for water without the lemon. I hate water with a lemon in it. It is disgusting. I learned that a dirty lemon in your water is not good for you. There is a video on itube but that is a different discussion that I don't want to get into right now.

Girl Scouts Opinion

It is Girl Scout cookie time! Have you gotten your girl scout cookie's? If so, you had better follow my guideline. The girl scouts must wear their uniform. This is so important as they are representing their troop. The picture on the left shows me as a girl scout and I wore the whole outfit with pride. I'm the cute one with the side pony tail. I even wore some ugly white LA Gear shoes. We all matched and I think it is so important that girl scouts wear their uniform. In fact, I had to wear the uniform once a week. I was an awesome girl scout. Now, if you buy girl scout cookies without following this guideline, then you are not supporting my plea. Why is this so important to me? It seems that nowadays the girl scouts are casual in the way they represent themselves and I am here to say that it needs to stop. I see girl scouts who have a sash with a sweatshirt. Obviously their parents are not supporting them by helping them wear the outfit with pride. My opinion of the girl scouts today stands and I will not buy their cookies if they are not wearing their outfit.

This is a picture of girl scouts today. What in the world are they wearing? I think they need a makeover as soon as possible! Although they are wearing the vest, they are wearing a t-shirt and sweats. They are not representing girl scouts very well. They need to shape up and get a new girl scout wardrobe. They also need to pay their monthly dues so they will get enough money to fix themselves up.
"Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place."
