My niece Becca McDaniel had a Fancy Nancy party on May 23rd to celebrate her fourth year. It was such a lovely party that my sisters Tiffany and Cassie held. I actually surprised them by attending (they didn't even expect my appearance). There were many Fancy Nancy activities including decorating gift bags, story time, fancy tea party, bingo, scavenger hunt, fashion show (I actually participated by showing the children how to walk down the walkway-I know a thing or two about Fashion shows), and Becca opened her gifts. The girls were so cute and Jaden was the only boy who took over the Fashion show with his amazing somersault and poises-so cute (reminds me of Jason-hilarious). It was a wonderful party and I'm so glad I decided to attend Becca's special birthday.

Training for the 1/2 Marathon
My 30th Birthday
Happy Birthday to me!
Since I took my birthday off, someone wrote me a note on KSL.com. Check it out at http://www.ksl.com/public/announcement/view/550. I have truly loved getting calls, emails, and various messages on my birthday. I even had my door decorated by an anonymous family member. Also, Keith and Keri sang to me even when I was doped on Benadryl. Thank you to all that have contributed to making my birthday special.

New Year's Goals
So far 2009 has been excellent! The goals that I made in January are being completed. I continue to read new books-about one per week. As for running...this may come to you as a shock but I signed up for the Provo River 1/2 Marathon. It is August 8th and I have started the 13 weeks of training. Yes, I know it is a giant leap but my friends Keri Smith and Emily Fuller have urged me to join them on the "fun" run. Adrian might also join us but we shall see. He hasn't run very much so he doesn't want to injure himself. As for me, I just want to finish the 13.10 miles. It has been a really fun activity for Adrian and I to do together (Quality time with Adrian). We started running together after he bought some running shoes for his birthday (May 5th). Also, this year I am turning 30 (less than a week away) and I can't wait. They say and I don't know who "they" are but your 30's are the best years of your life. Well, it is only going to get better so bring it on. What are some of your goals?

Women's Conference-April 30th-May 1st
This year I went to the BYU's Woman's Conference with my Deseret Book friend and her friend Natalie. I also went to a few classes with my sister Tiffany. I had such a wonderful experience and I am truly grateful for the opportunity. It was two days full of spiritual enlightenment and I gained a stronger testimony of the gospel. Some of my favorite speakers were Mary Ellen Edmonds who spoke on "Letting go of the world:It is time to sell the summer cottage in Babylon." If you haven't heard Sister Edmonds, you are truly missing out because she is hilarious. Another one of my favorite talks was "I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, Therewith to be content." This talk really hit home and I needed to hear it. Sometimes we plan out our lives but it ends up being totally different because Heavenly Father is in charge. We never know what will happen in our lives but we can live with what circumstance we are facing. Julie B. Beck as well as Elder L. Tom Perry spoke on Friday and they had excellent talks as well (Can't wait for the Woman's Conference book to come out). I shot a picture of L. Tom Perry, however, my camera didn't capture the closeness (I was on the first row). It was amazing when he walked in because the room was quiet in an instant. I was pretty amazed since I realized how crazy all of the ladies are at the conference. I'm not kidding! You have to run to your next class, dodge all of the ladies, cut corners (oops) and miss any sort of meal to go to a class. Good thing, I had lots of treats with me. I also was able to get some Kettle corn and yummy almonds (my favorite). I'm so glad I had the chance to take a couple days off work and go to such an amazing conference. I wasn't able to participate in the service or concert night since I spent that time with my sister Cassie. However, the time that I took to listen and think about my life were well spent. I have many goals that I would like to work on the next coming months. I was definitely spiritually fed by many wonderful speakers.
New baby boy
I finally went to visit my friend Laura and her new baby boy-Benjamin Rush Jensen. Laura is doing well and it sure was fun to hold her new baby. He is adorable! It was almost his feeding time so that is why he is crying. It wasn't me, honest!
