Hanging with our friends from Texas

On July 27, Greg and Courtney came to visit us from Austin, TX. We were able to attend a session at the Salt Lake City Temple, watch the new Simpsons movie, and go out to eat at many places including Cafe Rio. We had a great time with them. They are now at a family reunion. At least we were able to spend a few days with them while they were visiting Utah.

Fun and games on Pioneer Day

Pioneer Day was so much fun at the Lytle's house. Malissa was brave enough to try rock climbing. Emma had fun bouncing all day and she rock climbed at the same time I did. Luke was a little tired from all of the fun and games. Overall, it was a great day.

Rock Climbing on Pioneer Day

Adrian and I went to the Lytles for a BBQ. The community had a rock climbing wall, slip n' slide, zip line, DJ, and lots of bouncing activities for the children. I decided to try rock climbing. It was pretty tough but I managed to reach the top to push the button. The other children were a lot faster but I was proud of myself for not giving up. I felt pretty tough. Adrian didn't even try it cause he thought it was only for the children. Well, I had a blast and would do it again

Wallace Barton Grant's Funeral

My grandpa, Wallace Barton Grant passed away on June 28th at the Orem, Utah Rehab Center where he has been staying since last November, 2006. Here are a few pictures of my mom, Tiffany, Cassie, and my cousin Lilly who attended the funeral. My mom wrote: "Dad had had lots of health problems that prevented him from being cared for at his home nearby. All of his children and many grandchildren were with him at my brother Bob's wedding June 9 and many of us visited with him again on Father's Day. Mom had been visiting with me in California for five days, but returned in time to see dad for a couple of days. She with Bob and Christy were on their way to take him for a ride in the beautiful Utah canyons when Mom got the word that he had died. So the three of them got to sit with him for an hour or so until the mortuary came for his body. Mom said it was very peaceful! His funeral will be held on, July 5. Our family is so grateful for the time we had with him recently plus our knowledge thaty he is in a better place where we will eventually be reunited with him."

Bike Riding Tahoe style

In the evening, Lara, Greg, Matt, and I went for a nice easy bike ride. Adrian was studying for his second CPA exam. The ride down to the Lake was nice but was up hill on the way back. The next day, we went on a seven mile bike ride. It was awesome! The view was incredible and I enjoyed every minute of it. I've decided that I would like to own a cabin in Tahoe. But, I'll settle for staying at Adams grandma's house.

Rafting in Tahoe city, California

We got to go river rafting while we were visiting Tahoe city, CA. It was only a Level 1 lazy river but we had a blast. It was actually very relaxing until we got stuck by a rock. No worries! We made it back okay. There were only two people who went into the freezing water and I was not one of them.

Tahoe Evening Walks

We drove to Tahoe city, CA and celebrated the 4th of July with our friends. Adam's grandma let us stay at her cabin which had a great view of the lake. It was our second time and the group is expanding. We went on a walk almost every night and enjoyed the pretty sunset.
