Thanksgiving meal-Just the two of us
This year for Thanksgiving, Adrian and I were alone. It was a bit weird, however, there wasn't a ton of stress and we could eat whenever we felt like it. We did miss out on the fun in California but we were trying to save money. Darn Black Friday! We cooked a Turkey breast and made parsnips, stuffing, mashed potatoes (new recipe), corn, gravy, rolls, and pumpkin pie (thanks to a frozen Marie Calenders pie). It was delightful and I was able to watch the Thanksgiving Macy's day parade which I love. That afternoon we went to see The Christmas Carol which was excellent except there were a few kids that were quite loud. They weren't even sitting with their parents and they were very disruptive. However, the movie was fun to watch with our cool 3D glasses. Overall, Thanksgiving was a nice time to reflect on the many things we are thankful for-family, friends, lovely home, good food to eat, church, and just being together. Hopefully, next year we will be around family but it was nice to just be with my cute husband. Happy Thanksgiving!
