Armstrong Mansion Bed & Breakfast

Adrian and I spent a night at the Armstrong Mansion Bed & Breakfast last weekend. Thanks to me, I spent two hours listening to a very boring time share presentation (Worldmark by Wyndham) in order to earn a free night stay. It was worth it! We only had to pay $20 for taxes. The July Glory room was selected for us and it was a very romantic and cozy room. It was a little creepy to have George Washington staring at you but it was still fun to get away. I especially enjoyed the breakfast which consisted of fresh fruit, orange juice, quiche, trifle, peach cobbler, and assorted breads. We also spent the next day together and even got to see the movie Duchess. Thanks for the lovely weekend Adrian! I had a great time with you. Love you.

Princess Stockings

A lady from my ward wanted Cinderella/mouse and Sleeping Beauty/rose stockings for her grandchildren. I was a little worried that it might not turn out but I think they are so cute. Of course, Adrian was my master critic so it took me a little longer than planned. Oh well! It was worth it. I hope they will enjoy their new christmas stockings. I am all booked up for the year 2008 but if you are interested in buying a christmas stocking for 2009, go to my blog at http://emileeschristmasjoy.blogspot.com/. Happy Christmas (as they say in England)!

Cutest hat ever!

I got so excited when I saw Becky's blog, I had to post the picture to share with all my friends and family. McKenzie is wearing a fasionable hat that I made. Yes, I knitted the cute pink beanie. Becky-I hope you don't mind me advertising my creative abilities. I am now grateful for the snow so McKenzie can wear the beanie I made. Love it.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween Everyone! I decided to dress up for Qqest's 1st Annual costume contest. Instead of one costume, I decided to bring two just in case. I thought it would give me a better chance of winning. Yes, I love winning! First, I dressed as an Academy Award winner. I wasn't able to borrow Julia Roberts' vintage Valentino dress so I brought my old prom dress. Yes, I still fit in it after all these years. Laura dressed as a 20's flapper girl. So cute!

The most scariest award goes to...Lourine as the devil woman.

Keven was also scary as the joker.

Security, security...we need some protection from Ese

Watch out for the dirty old man-Mark

Renae was the most sporty costume dresser. I loved your outfit! Way cute.

And, don't forget about Bat Woman-Stephanie.

Sonny and Cher even showed up. Cerra, you are freaking me out-you look like a boy. Ahh!
The most creative dynamic duo award goes to you two.

My second costume-A pregnant jogger. If only I was really pregnant!

Watch out for Carol H. That is one scary mask.

Here is the Implementation Department all dressed up in their best costumes. Even Mindy dressed up. :)

And the winner goes to.....Josh Kelly as Jack Sparrow. What a great costume! Way to go Josh!

Hey Sweetheart!

Lately I've been running at the Alta High School track for my running program. Last week after I finished my run and had gone to my car, I heard, "Hey Sweetheart!" I thought to myself, oh no he didn't just call me sweetheart in my best ebonics accent. After thinking about the whole event, I thought well that was kind of cool. I was a red faced babe. Now, don't take it the wrong way, I wasn't embarrassed that he had called me sweetheart but I had just run. So I guess I still have it. I am one hot mama!

Halloween Date Night

Last night, Adrian and I went to the PWC Halloween party in Orem for our date night. The party was in a barn and there were tons of things to do. The activites were mostly for the children but we still had a blast. We got to make caramel apples which was Adrian's favorite treat. My favorite part was when Adrian won this giant glass jar filled with candy. He had to guess how many fireballs were in the jar. I think my luck is rubbing off on other people. I almost won another prize-I was only three off but someone else was closer to the actual number. Oh well! It was just funny to see how Adrian was securely holding the jar like it was his prized possession. He was quite proud of winning! It was cute! I also got to hold Cameron and Erin's baby Claire so that was fun. She is such a good baby. The funny part was at the end when the owners told everyone that they could take as much candy home that they could find. I took a few extra pieces and a few small pumpkins. Now we are set for our own trick or treaters next week. I can't wait to see how many kids come to our neighborhood. My favorite part of Halloween is seeing the children's cute costumes. Thanks Adrian for the fun date night. Happy Halloween!

One fine day!

My day started when I ran in the morning. I'm on my fourth week and it is starting to get a little hard but very rewarding. Then it was off to Brighton's bridal shower with Cassie and Tiffany. It sure is harder with two babies. We were about an hour late because one baby needed feeding, and we needed to pick up Grandma's gift. Oh well! We made our grand entrance. Congrats Brighton for finding your one true love. Jordan seems like a great catch. I'm so happy for you! Sorry that we won't be able to attend your wedding. We will be in California for our Thanksgiving break. Afterwards, Adrian and I went to Zupas with Clint and Chelsea. Chelsea is one of Adrian's accounting friends. I loved Zupas. I had a berry salad and the lobster bisque. Delicious! They also give you some bread and a chocolate covered strawberry. Then we headed to the movies to see Eagle Eye. Great movie! Very intriguing. Then it was a night of DDR (dance dance revolution). Clint was actually pretty good and Chelsea beat one of my high scores. Adrian and I will need some practice. Overall, it was one fine day to say the least. Thanks friends for making it a spectacular day.
