His and Her I-Pods

Our Best Buy gift cards arrived on Friday night so it was off to the store to make our big purchase. Thanks to PWC and my lovely parents we were able to buy two I-pods. We spent about $36 of our own money so it was well worth the wait. Adrian gets points for dentist or doctor trips as well as for exercising. PWC is very concerned for its employee's health care. I love PWC! Adrian wanted a Nike arm band and I went for the pink breast cancer arm band (it is for a great cause). Now, running won't be as hard without the music. We tested it out this morning and it was awesome. I love my new I-pod. So fun! Now, I just need to add more music.

Oh the love of running

Ew gross! Yes, these are my lovely running shoes, but they weren't so lovely today. Adrian and I went running with Emily Fuller this morning. It was our six mile run today and I was determined to finish. At about our fourth mile, I looked down and my shoe was covered in blood. Emily and I decided to stop and take a look at my foot. There was a tiny cut on one of my toes. Lame! Luckily there was a medical center so I could get a bandaid and be on my way. Well, Emily wouldn't let me run the rest of the way so we walked. Adrian had left us about mile three since we were going too slow and it started to rain. He had no idea what was going on with us. He did jump in his car and try to search for us. Oh, the love that he has for me. Well, we finished even though we didn't run the entire thing but we finished. Yay for us.

Cuddly Teddy Bear

I decided that I wanted to try a new knitting pattern so I made this cute cuddly teddy bear. I think it turned out great. I had a little bit of help thanks to Verla from the Unraveled Sheep knitting store. Moreover, I'm going to try knitting a second one since I have leftover yarn and I want to try to make it better than the first.

Be Creative Activity at Wheeler Park

This year's library theme is "Be Creative." The McDaniel's and I went to Wheeler Park to celebrate the huge library kick off party. We had a nice picnic, saw many famous characters including the Jazz bear and the Grizzly bear, listened to a world famous storyteller, and saw many animals. The storyteller was excellent. Overall, I had a great time with my sister and her fam. Adrian didn't want to participate, are you surprised? Maybe if we had a dog? Perhaps! It began to rain once we were back on the road back to my home. Phew! Thank goodness it didn't pour on us while we were there. Well, I'm glad I got to hang out with my nieces and nephews. Thanks for a good time!

Happy Birthday Christine!

My high school friends and I got together last weekend to celebrate Christine's (the blond next to me) 31st birthday. Christine drove all the way from California to visit us. It was awesome! We all got together at Liberty Park (including our hubby's/families) and had a little BBQ. It was so fun to see my good friends from high school. Oh the memories and fun times that we had.... I especially enjoyed it because Adrian was able to meet my girls from the good ole' days. I love them all!

Christine-I'll start with the birthday queen. I have known Christine since about fifth grade and didn't become good friends till high school. I love how she always has something to say. She has a strong opinion about anything and anyone. She is also one of my hero's. She has struggled a lot but has remained strong through it all. I believe it has made her a stronger woman. I'm so grateful for her. Thanks for always listening to me when I had problems of my own. You are a true friend.

Dia-I love her cute personality (one with the red hair). She is about three months pregnant and is still cute as can be. She has a great sense of style and has awesome dance moves. She is also a great listener and has always been kind to me. She also has a remarkable talent with the harp. Wow! You are awesome Dia.

Stephanie-She is one hilarious woman! I love her! But, apparently I make her laugh even when I don't say anything. I don't get it! She also has an awesome personality. She makes friends with everyone. Whenever you feel down, she is there to pick you up with her funny jokes. Watch out, she may embarrass you but it is all for fun. Also, she can surprise you with her wicked dance moves. It has been awhile since we hit the dance scene but I'm sure she still can do the hustle.

We have a great time when we all get together. We will have to have a girls night out next time Christine is in town.

You girls are the best! Happy birthday Christine!

New bedroom look

Yes, it was about time to change the look to our love seat in our bedroom. When we were first married, our home teacher gave us this cute little love seat but the fabric was yellow with flowers (picture above of the pillow, no picture of the love seat, sorry). Yuck! We didn't care too much since we didn't have any other furniture (besides a desk) in our front room. I know...what were we thinking? Well, we didn't have money five years ago. It was time for a change! We went to bed bath and beyond and bought the sure fit furniture cover. It was perfect! I added a couple of pillows, a candle, a cute engagement picture and a mirror. Now, our bedroom looks ten times better just because the love seat is covered. It is weird how one little detail makes a huge difference. Well, I felt like one productive and creative wife. Go me!
